Hobbity

Image
Although I enjoy taking a wide range of photographs, my favorite areas tend to be at about the same elevation that aspen trees grow (7,000 to 11,000 feet). Running water is another component of the area that I love to photograph and oftentimes to me, the difference between a photograph that I love and one that I think is simply a good shot, is water in some form. There is another component though that causes me to love an area and really love to photograph it, and that is something a bit more intangible.  It is mossy, primal, dappled setting that causes you to look for fairies, caterpillars, and fauns. It is a look and feel I usually describe as "hobbity". Perhaps I never outgrew fairy tales :D Take the Backroads Photography

Spring drive Mom this was a scary but very pretty drive. We decided to take a cruise through Golden Gate Canyon State Park in Colorado. The drive was worth it.  I wish I had brought a tent - and reservations, the campgrounds were already full. xoxo a.d.
